Geometrical Image Transforms
Havelka, Jan ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about introducing to basics of image processing, mostly with linear image transformations and interpolation. For the purpose of the closer understanding is properly to implement some basic geometrical image transformations and some different interpolation methods.
Analysis of the structure for the effects of earthquakes
Švejcar, Martin ; Martinásek, Josef (referee) ; Vlk, Zbyněk (advisor)
This master thesis deals with analysis of a selected construction subjected to a seismic load. In the Dlubal RFEM programme, a basic model was created and analyzed with the spectral analysis using response spectra and with the time analysis using accelerograms from the database of the programme. The outcomes from these analyses were compared. Subsequently, the same calculations were performed on modified models and the results of the internal forces and deformations of the structure were compared with the outputs obtained on the original basic model.
The assesment stability of the cliff
Bíba, Tomáš ; Lossmann, Jaroslav (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The stability of rock walls and slopes are an integral part of professional geotechnical assessment wherever there is a breach of natural or rock mass. Assessment always depends on the expertise and experience in particular industries that report preparation. Performed mostly analytical calculation (classic or using software) or numerically. The best way is to use both methods and compare them. The aim is always best to estimate the behavior of rock mass and to ensure its safety.
Geometric transformation in secondary school mathematics with the support of internet
Ptáčková, Tereza ; Robová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Štěpánová, Martina (referee)
This work deals with geometric transformation in a plane in high school mathematics. The work is a web page, it contains several interactive components which help student to understand the problem like hyperlinks or stepping of the construction. The work contains several solved problems. Main emphasis is placed on illustration of problems in the form of drawings and construction. The illustration is better by using of applets. The applets show the steps of the construction one after another as the students proceed with the con- struction on a sheet of paper. Together with each step of construction its symbolic description is showed. Created web page could be used by high-school students as well as tea- chers to demonstrate the problem.
Numerický model celodřevěného konstrukčního spoje
Koutník, Daniel
The bachelor thesis deals with problems of all-wooden construction joint with wooden fasteners. Specifically, it is a plate joint with oak dowels and a pin which is stressed by pulling. To assess the overall response of the joint, it was necessary to experimentally determine the selected mechanical properties of oak (Quercus L.) on basic standard samples for pressure, pull, shear and bending. Determination of the relative deformations and displacements entering the calculations of the material characteristics was performed by the Digital Image Correction (DIC) method. The parameters thus obtained serve to: a) determine the material characteristics; (B) validation of the material model using basic numerical test models. For the subsequent evaluation of the overall response of the plate joint, it was necessary to assemble and verify an oak material model that allows the description of the elastic and plastic area of the working diagram. The validated bilinear elastoplastic material model has been successfully verified (% error = 7%) and implemented in a complex solution of the numeral plate joint with dowels and pin.

Geometrical Image Transforms
Němeček, Petr ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with acceleration of geometrical image transforms using the GPU and NVIDIA (R) CUDA TM architecture. Time critical parts of the code are moved on the GPU and executed in parallel. One of the results is a demonstrational application for performance comparison of both architectures: the CPU, and GPU in combination with the CPU. As a reference implementation, there are used highly optimized routines from the OpenCV library, made by the Intel company.
